  • Currently Listening: Step by Step

    NKOTB

I’ve got NKOTB fever! Yes you read that right. New Kids on the Block are back and I want to go to their concert... if there is one. I was a big fan back when I was in 5th and 6th grade and even went to their concert here in Miami back when I was 12. I remember being so excited... it was my first concert ever. I was in full NKOTB gear, shirts, hats, pins... and all the matching colored socks I could find with my LA Gears.  It was awesome and so stylish. *tears*   I loved the 80's as you can tell.

I uploaded all their songs to my IPod last night and am now jamming to Step by Step... Damn, I love that song. I keep going from that to listening to the Wicked soundtrack. I know, I’m a mess.

    NKOTB

So I’m taking the day off tomorrow. I want to take the kids to the Youth Fair (at 3pom - not 11am). Although they really won’t be able to ride too many of the rides since they’re so little, they’ll have a blast just being there. We also have an appointment to get our taxes done... yes I know, could I possibly have waited any longer? I blame my husband... the procrastinator.

That’s all I gots for you’s. Have a great day.

  • Currently Listening: Wicked (2003 Original Broadway Cast)

I have had nothing to report on for the past month. Life is just life... nothing exciting or relevant to really discuss. I’ve been reading like a maniac, spending time and doing things with the kids on the weekends. That’s been about it.

But I do have something fun to talk about today. On Friday I saw Wicked. I’m not sure if any of y’all have been able to see it, but if you haven’t, please do. It was fantastic! I dragged my husband along and needless to say he is now a fan. What a beautiful show. We loved it. I’ve always been a fan of The Wizard of Oz and this look at the behind-the-scenes of the story was just so creative. What a concept... what a show. I’m still blown away by it. I can’t wait to get another chance to see it. I want to see it over and over. So I purchased the soundtrack through Itunes and have been harping away in the car. I break out in song in the shower, while doing the dishes and even this morning in the elevator ride up to my office. I am now their #1 psycho fan.

Other than that, still living the daily day to day with no amusements. We took the kids to the park and to the beach over the weekend. They had a blast.. Jenna flew a kite and climbed the lifeguard tower... yea that was scary. While James just sat there and ate sand. ewww. They had a good time though. The water was too wild for them to get in but we just went for a while late in the afternoon.

My husband is on my "Shit List". I’m upset with him because he’s lazy and doesn’t want to do anything. And then to top it all off, he called me lazy and told me that I don’t do anything. WTF? He always finds ways to turn things around on me. So blah! That’s it.

I was able to catch up on my movies though.  We saw Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, 30 Days of Night, August Rush and Sweeney Todd.

Hope you all are well. Catch up with you soon.

  • Currently Reading: The Lovely Bones

Haven’t had much to write about over the past week, but just wanted to share a little funny with you.

Last night I finished reading "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan". Over the last two chapters of the book all I did was cry because the story was so sad. It broke my heart. So I decided to finish my book in the bathroom. You know, a little alone time from the kids. So I put the baby to bed, layed Jenna down in her room watching a movie, took off my clothes (because I was about to shower) and sat on the toilet to finish reading...

In comes Jenna (she thinks it’s normal to be in the bathroom while I’m taking a dump) and I’m sitting there reading, crying (not taking a dump) because the story was just so sad, and she sees my face and says:

Mommy, what’s wrong? Does your tummy hurt?

Don't cry Mommy.  It’s okay.  You'll be okay.

    I love that child!

    Erin Go Braugh!

    St Patricks Day

     Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Not much to write about on this fine Monday.  I had a "me" day on Saturday.  Spent the day with my friend Jennifer.  We went to IKEA!  Yay for Ikea.  I love that place.  I really do.  We had lunch there too.  You know I love them Swedish Meatballs.  They were deeelicious.  We walked around, she shopped, etc.  It was therapeautic.  Shopping.... (sighs).

After we took the nice scenic route of the 954 area code (shut up Jen), it was fun.  We laughed, we searched for a bridge, an entrance to I-75, she made fun of me, etc.

Then we went scrapbooking.  Yes, one of my favorite things to do in the whole world.  We met up with my sister there and we spent 7 hours scrapbooking.  I did 4 pages... which is great.  I know people who only did 2 in that amount of time.  So 4 is wonderful.

Yesterday, was blah.  The highlight of the day was breakfast at Cracker Barrel.  I love me some Cracker Barrel.  Then we went Easter basket/knick knack shopping and later we took the kids to the park.  I was also able to catch up on my household chores (laundry, picking up the messes, throwing crap out, etc.).

No plans for tonight. The hubby is out of town and I'm on my own with the kids.  No green beer for me.  Hope you guys enjoy your St. Patty's Day.  Smooches.
